Women's Council
2008 Women’s Council Chair
Liz Mason of Keystone Building Company
The Women's Council consists of builder and associate members or spouses of members within the GBAHB. Years ago, the council began as a group of builders' wives who helped to promote goodwill and support charitable causes. While that is still true, the membership has flourished with the sign of the times. Now, Women's Council members are professionals themselves, some even builders...not just the spouse. Many traditions remain, but some things will forever be changed. With over 50 members, the Women's Council exists to promote good will, loyalty and friendship amongst its members. The council assists with local, state and national initiatives to promote a better understanding of home building and provide charitable contributions and services on behalf of the GBAHB. Additionally, the Women's Council hosts monthly luncheons at various hot spots throughout the Birmingham area. The cost to attend each lunch is $20.00 per person. A wide variety of programs from professional training to fun fashion shows and silent auctions are on the calendar each year. This year will not be an exception to the rule of fun or professionalism.
