The Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders (GBAHB) is a 200+ member council made up of sales and marketing professionals in the home building industry. The SMC enhances the sales and marketing capabilities and reputation of those who represent the GBAHB and the housing industry. The SMC is dedicated to developing a higher level of professionalism in the home building industry through education and networking. Dues cost $75 annually per individual.

The SMC sponsors professional designations for the Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP), Certified New Home Marketing Professional (CMP), and Member, Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM). The SMC also holds monthly programs that offer information and tips that are valuable to the real estate community, and provides an opportunity for networking and the sharing of information with other industry professionals. Non-members are welcome to attend for a nominal fee.

Million Dollar Circle Awards are presented each year for agents and brokers who are successful in marketing new homes. The awards are presented at the GBAHB General Membership Meeting annually. Additionally, SMC members volunteer to judge the developments entered into the Parade of Homes each year.
