Land Developers Council

2008 Land Developers Council,
Chair Price Evans of J. Harris Development

The Land Developers Council (LDC) is a group that organizes and plans monthly luncheons for the builder or associate member. Most topics are about local regulations and federal programs that affect our bottom line everday. As you know, new regulations usually mean an increase in costs, and simliarly various governmental programs cause us to comply with new building and development considerations.

By attending a Land Developers Council Luncheon, the participant will be informed about any new policies that developers and builders need to be aware of. Additionally, the participant will have the opportunity to see how the new regulations affect others within the industry. This outlet of communication not only provides the builder with information they need to know, it also instructs them on how new regulations can be cost effectively incorporated into their every day operations. Additionally, the group can unify to become a more powerful voice with local political officials and seek National assistance from NAHB should the need to fight an obsurd regulation arises.

If you are a builder or developer member, you are strongly encouraged to participate in Land Developers Council Luncheons held at the GBAHB office. The luncheons are typically held the first Thursday of every month. However, meeting dates vary due to holidays and special events. Please consult your BluePrint for more details about each program and. All are welcome. Please join us, and if you would like to sponsor a LDC lunch, please contact Laurie McCormack at 912-7000.
